Students seeking Alternative Loans to meet all costs for College

Many students and their parents are having to turn to alternative college financing to cover the total cost of higher education. There has been some confusion as to which companies and lenders and banks are currently lending alternative, aka private, student loans. Today’s date is August 13 2009.

Here is a quick list of who is currently lending alternative and private students loans for college:

Be sure to exhaust all efforts in finding Federal student aid, scholarships and grants before applying for an alternative student loan as it is a credit based loan. Compare lenders and find the best option for your own needs. Applicants with no credit history will need a co-signer to get the lowest possible interest rate. Best of luck out there.
