Loans for Dental Students

While some people have no idea what they want to study in college, many already have their minds made up about their chosen career by the time they get there. For those who know, they can sometimes apply for loans particular to their chosen field. Such is the case for those who want to be dentists.

The DentalAchiever Loan used to be known as the Alternative DEAL (Dental Education Association Loan). This loan is a private loan for dental students and it was designed to help you meet educational and personal expenses while you are in college. The pricing on this loan rewards those students and/or their parents for a good credit record.

Another perk for this loan is that there are no processing fees. Many times, loans will have application or loan processing fees attached with it which makes it more expensive up front to apply for the loan. However, this is not the case with the DentalAchiever Loan.

The payments, interest and principal, are deferred on this loan until 12 months after graduation. This will give the dental student time to take his Dental Board Exam and get into a practice somewhere following graduation.

Online applicants will receive a quick credit decision as well as being able to provide an e-Signature. The e-Signature allows a person that wants to borrow the money to give correct personal information and simply obtain the loan online without having to go in and sign loan documents.

The interest rate is subject to a .25% reduction is the borrower enrolls in an automatic debit program for repayment of the money. This saves time for everyone and will keep you up to date with your payments quickly and easily.

Because there are specialties in dentistry, up to $250,000.00 of loan money is available to those in the pre-doctoral program and up to $275,000.00 for the post-doctoral program.

For dental students, there is one other loan of particular interest. The DentalAchiever Board Exam Loan provides money for the student for expenses incurred in taking the Dental Board Exam. You may apply for this loan 12 months before you graduate or up to twelve months after you graduate. Whatever travel or student costs are incurred in taking the exam would be covered in this loan of up to $15,000.00. These funds are disbursed to the student while the funds for the dental schooling are disbursed to the school itself.
